CCNS: The God of Hope

Hi Everyone!  I'm sharing a card with you today that could be used for "get well", "thinking of you" or "encouragement".  Most of the products used on this card can be found at the Classy Cards N Such Online Store.

I started with a gray card base that measures 6 x 5.5. To the base I added one of my favorite patterns from the Glitz Designs French Kiss Collection. French Kiss is an elegant vintage collection of designer paper with shades of brown and gray.

Next using the gray cardstock and Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight, I die-cut a label to stamp the Scripture on. I stamped the Scripture with white craft ink and then sprinkled white detail embossing powder over it and heat embossed. I sponged distress paint in silver on the edges of the label.

I knew I wanted flowers in my design so I pulled out Judy's Blooms Floral Dies by Cheery Lynn Designs. The blooms were cut out using the fleur de lis designer paper from French Kiss Collection. The leaves were cut out using some green cardstock from my stash. For the flower centers I used Want 2 Scrap Silver Rhinestones.

For finishing touches I added a Lace Corner Deco A by Cheery Lynn Designs.

If you are interested in any of the products that I used today you can find the links to them in this blog post @ Classy Cards Blog.

CCNS & The Perfect Sentiment: Feminine Grace

Hello Everyone! It's been a long while since I've posted anything on my blog. I was on a creative roll and getting quite a few cards made but then my 78 year old Mom fell and broke her leg which required surgery and a week's stay in the hospital. I do have her back home with me now and she is slowly recovering with the aid of in-home physical therapists and lots of rest. She can't put any pressure on that leg for two months so, bare with me as I care for my Mom and try to create when time allows.

It's Wednesday and time for a new challenge at The Perfect Sentiment. This week our theme is "Make it Feminine".

I created my card using several products from the Classy Cards N Such Online Store.

I really love the different patterns and color combinations in the Laced with Grace Designer Paper Collection by Glitz Designs. Each pattern already has a pre-distressed look to it and since I love distressing anyway, that just makes me love the collection even more. Today I decided to work with the pale teals in the collection. One pattern in particular was jumping out at me (the zebra stripes) and that's how I came up with my teal and black color combination for the basis of this card.

My card base measures 5.5 square. For my first layer I distressed the edges of the solid teal pattern with the sheet music on it and then inked the distressed edges with Black Soot Distress Ink. Using the largest circle from Spellbinders Lacey Circles I cut out a lacey circle from the teal zebra print pattern and adhered that in the center. Next, I cut out a 2.5 x 4.5 rectangle from the teal ledger pattern and matted it on black cardstock; placing it on top of the circle.

With the basics of my card done, it's time to get fancy! Using the Spellbinders Fantastic Flourish One and black cardstock I cut out a flourish and placed it off-center to the left. I added a couple drops of Mint Green Liquid Pearls to the flower centers to make them stand out. Using Very Vanilla cardstock and Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight, I cut out a label and stamped my sentiment. To finish things off, I added one Prima Calcutta Mini in Willow.

My card design was inspired by the April Week 1 Viva la Verve Sketch...

Classy Cards N Such: Loving Mouse

Hello Everyone! It's time for me to share a new card made with products from the Classy Cards N Such Online Store.

I created a card to showcase one of the many fabulous Stampavie stamps that Beverly carries in the Classy Cards 'n Such Store. Today I am working with Mouse with Sunflower. I like this image because it can be used to send many different sentiments such as thinking of you, hello, happy birthday, and with love, just to name a few. I chose to make him a loving mouse for this card.
My card base measures 5.5 x 5.5 inches and is a basic gray color. I chose gray to work off of the gray tones in the papers I had chosen from the French Kiss by Glitz Designs paper pad.

After layering my first pattern onto the base, I cut a 2.5 x 5.5 piece off of another pattern and layered it on a gray mat and then adhered to my card base off to the left side. Next, using Spellbinders Lacy Circles Dies, I die cut a gray circle and embossed it with the Dots embossing folder by Crafts Too. This was added to the lower portion of my base.

After coloring my stamped image with Copic markers, I die cut it out using the Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and adhered to my card.  I stamped my sentiment on a smaller Labels Eighteen and popped it up with foam pads. For finishing touches, I added three Smokey Brown Rhinestones to the bottom and the top of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a blessed weekend.

Classy Cards N Such: With Thanksgiving

Happy Saturday Everyone! It's time for me to share a new card made with products from the Classy Cards N Such Online Store.

My card size today is 5.5 x 5.5. You'll find that I have a flair for the square!  I started with a dark rust card base. Then I found this lovely vintage rose pattern in the Glitz Designs Happy Travels Paper Pack. I distressed the edges of the paper and then inked them with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.

Using some orange paper I die-cut the Lacey Pumpkin Corner Flourish from Cheery Lynn Designs and added that to the lower left corner of my card. If you are wondering why it's so shiny, it's because I went over it with the Sakura Glaze Pen. I wanted shine without added dimension and this is the way to get it.

Using my trusty Spellbinders Labels Eighteen I die-cut two labels; one for my Scripture and one for a mat. I distressed the edges of both of these also with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. I used a ribbon slot punch to make a slot in the top of the larger label. Then I ran two different colors of organza ribbon through them and tied a little knot.

To finish it off, I added one Prima Gillian flower in cider to the lower right hand corner of the label.
My Scripture on my card comes from their Scripture Collection 4.

I hope you are inspired to create some fall cards and send some fall blessings to your friends.

God Bless You.

Classy Cards N Such: Remain In Me

Hello Everyone! It's Jennipher and I am most delighted to be back designing for Classy Cards N Such. I had such a blast last time I couldn't resist coming back.

My card today is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square. I started with a base of pale pink cardstock. To the base I added a sheet of designer paper from the Glitz Designs Pretty In Pink Collection. It has such a lovely musical background with just a hint of pink in it. I distressed the edges of my paper and then sponged on Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

Before adhering that layer to the pale pink base I added a strip of May Arts Textured Two Tone Ribbon in Fuchsia/Pink across the top.

I used my Spellbinders Labels Eighteen largest die to cut out a matching flower border stamp for the Scripture I planned to use. I colored in the tiny flowers with Copic Markers. I just love how they are making coordinating stamps to work with these Spellbinders Dies. It's so much fun! I also used the Spun Sugar Distress Ink around the die cut edges.

For finishing touches I found the perfect shade of a pink/fuchsia flower in the Flowershop De Soie Collection by Prima. I added that to the lower right corner of my card.

I hope you are inspired by what I created today and will give some of these fabulous products a try! Use my discount code to take 10 percent off your order: JENNIPHER-10.
Supplies not mentioned above: Flower Border Die from Our Daily Bread Designs; Scripture Stamp from Our Daily Brad Designs.

I would like to enter my card into the Our Daily Bread Shining Light Challenge: Something Musical.
