Classy Cards N Such: Thankful for You

Hello blogging friends! I'm here today with a card created for the Classy Cards N Such Challenge. Our challenge this week is "Sunflower Inspired".
As soon as I saw this challenge I knew that I would be pulling out my French Country designer paper by Graphic 45. I literally am in love with every single sheet in this paper pad!

I started with a 4.25 x 5.5 cardstock base. I distressed the edges of the sunflower paper from the French Country paper pad to add to my card base. Next using Lattice Rectangles by Spellbinders and white cardstock, I die-cut a lovely rectangle to stamp my sunflower on. I colored it and then added a green bling rectangle from the Blue/Green Lattice Rectangles Nestabling around the sunflower and just inside the lattice edges. I added some Mustard Seed Distress Ink around the lattice edges.

For my next layer, I used the opposite side of the sunflower paper and a slightly darker cardstock to create a long rectangle. I glued the pieces together and then ran them through my Cuttlebug with the Anna Griffin Matelasse embossing folder. I love the weaved appearance you get from this folder. It makes my sunflower appear as if it is poking out over a fence.

For finishing touches, I used the Teramo Labels from Memory Box to die-cut a label to stamp my sentiment on. These lovely little label die-cuts are perfect for stamping small sentiments on and there are two other sets that Beverly carries in the store. I own them all and will be showcasing more of them at a later date.

The stamp set I have used today is from Gina K Designs. It is a Stamp Set Duo called Thankful for you.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today and feel inspired to join the challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

Daydream Designs: Bushel & a Peck

Hi everyone and welcome to another Daydream Monday. It's time for me to share another project created with some of the fabulous digital products available at Daydream Designs.

Today I am working with the Bushel and a Peck Digi Set.

Using Photoshop Elements I layered and merged three of the images together to create my own scene.
I printed the merged image out and proceeded to coloring with my Copic markers. Coloring is still not an area that I am confident in so, you won't see me do this a whole lot unless I start improving. It's just that I really love fall and the wonderful fall scenery I couldn't resist but give the coloring a try.
I decided to fussy cut it out and leave a bit of the white border.
Supplies: Daydream Designs Bushel and a Pick Digi stamp set; Verve Plain Jane sentiment stamp; Sizzix Sizzlits dies; Real Red, Handsome Hunter, and River Rock CS; Copic Markers, Photoshop Elements.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope you are having a blessed week!

Tuesday's Testimonial 09

Happy Tuesday! It's time for Tuesday's Testimonial Linky Party where I share a project with Scripture on it and invite you to share any kind of paper crafted project with Scripture on it. We do this to encourage one another and to Glorify God.

First, before I share my project, I would like to apologize as it has been four weeks since my last Tuesday's Testimonial post. I'm afraid I have been under a cloud of darkness of late and I let that interfere with the work I set out to do by starting this linking party. No matter what I am going through I have to keep in mind that someone out their might be touched by the words of God I share on any particular day and I should never let anything interfere with that.

Supplies: Fall Digi Papers by Daydream Designs; Colorized Fall Grouping & Scripture from God's Bountiful Love set by Daydream Designs; Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick, and Forest Moss Distress Inks by Tim Holtz; Liquid Pearls in Cantaloupe; Spellbinders Lacy Circle Die; Spellbinders Grommet Tag Die.

Instead of giving in to impatience or hopelessness under our troubles, we should turn our thoughts to the goodness of the Lord which is there for those who fear and trust in Him. Don't think under discouraging circumstances, that you are cut off from the eyes of the Lord. Believers should be strengthened and comforted in your hearts through all your afflictions and trials. After suffering courageously with our Lord, we may triumphantly enter into his joy and glory!

If you would like to share a project with me that you've made using Scripture please use the inlinkz tool below. I'd love to see what you've made using the Word of God!

Daydream Designs: Apple Bingo

Hi everyone and welcome to another Daydream Monday. It's time for me to share another project created with some of the fabulous digital products available at Daydream Designs.
Supplies: All from Daydream Designs- Fall Digi Paper Pack; Fall Bingo Cards in Neutral; Bushel and a Peck Digital Stamp Set.

A lot of you have been so kind to me and very encouraging as I learn this "new to me" digital craft and I want to thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I'm not really where I would like to be with it just yet but, practice makes perfect. I did actually use my copics and color the apples and basket today instead of using the colorized version available in the store. Baby steps...

God Bless You.

Daydream Designs: Turning Leaves

Hello! It's time for another Daydream Monday. This week I have a fall card to share with you.
Since I don't like to color, I digitally paper-pieced my leaves. I took three leaves from the Fall is in the Air Digi Stamp Set and layered them on different pieces of the Fall Digi Paper Pack in Photoshop Elements. I then printed them out and fussy cut them out to use on my card. I printed my sentiment from the Fall is in the Air Sentiment set and cut it out with a paper trimmer. I then distressed the edges of the sentiment with Rusty Hinge distress ink. I added three buttons to coordinate with the three leaves in the card for finishing touches.
Supplies: Brocade Backgrounds DSP Retired-SU; Rusty Hinge Distress Ink; Forest Moss Distress Ink; Daydream Designs Fall is in the Air Digital Images & Sentiment Sets; Daydream Designs Fall Digi Paper Pack; misc buttons from stash.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. May God Bless You.

Daydream Designs: Dancing Leaves

Happy Monday! And it is a Happy Monday as I have some exciting news to share! There is a new Digital Stamp store in town called Daydream Designs.

The owner, Diane Noble, contacted me and asked me to be on the Dream Team! Me! Can you believe that? Well, I excepted and I have to tell you Diane has been super patient with me as I try to get the hang of this digi-thing and I hope that all of you will be kind to me as well while I learn the digital process. You can be honest, just be kind.

Today I have my first project to share with you. I used the Dancing Leaves set.

Supplies: Dancing Leaves by Daydream Designs; Fall Flowers DSP by SU; Soft Sky CS, Old Olive CS; Cuttlebug border embossing folder; EK Success Leaf Punch; Gold Square Brads from stash.

Remember, I rarely work with digis so I have a lot of learning to do. Mostly I have to figure out how to incorporate them into my style and getting them sized to fit on die-cuts and Cricut cuts.

Fall @ Sentimental Sundays

This week at Sentimental Sundays our challenge is Fall plus a sentiment.

Although I love making Fall cards I must admit it just doesn't feel right with the temperature here in NC roaring into the 90's. But the truth is, we just don't get much of a Fall here in the Carolinas and I'm going to need the Fall card eventually.

Colors I used in this card are Pear Pizzaaz and More Mustard. It makes a nice Fall combination especially when combined with the Spice Cake DSP from Stampin' Up. I used a couple of pumpkin stamps from Verve to create the stack of pumpkins and then colored them in with Copics. The More Mustard layer was embossed with a pumpkin embossing folder by Cuttlebug. I found these green buttons in my stash and they seemed to match perfectly.

In this view you can see where I outlined the pumpkins with a green glaze pen to add a little shine. And of course I sponged some ink around all the edges.

Be sure to stop by Sentimental Sundays to see what my fellow designers created.

Die Cuttin Divas: Squirrel Appreciation

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another fun challenge at Die Cuttin Divas!

Squirrel Appreciation Day is January 21st. So your challenge this week is to use a squirrel on your project.

I made my squirrel using the Cindy Loo cartridge and my Cricut.

My fellow DT members got really creative with this challenge and came up with some cute sentiments. I decided to be practical and make it a fall themed card as I never have enough of those when it's time to send them out.

Stop on by the Die Cuttin Divas blog to see the fabulous inspiration from my team mates. Then, join us for the challenge.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Perfect Sentiments Challenge 05: Thanksgiving with Brads or Eyelets

Hello there! It's Wednesday and that means it's time to get your challenge on over at The Perfect Sentiment.

The Challenge: create a card that reflects a sentiment of Thanksgiving/Fall
The Twist: use eyelets or brads on your card

I used jumbo brads and I didn't realize how large they really were. I guess the word "jumbo" should have been my clue. LOL! My leaf is from Prima and it's from my stash. I found this on the clearance at Michael's last year in all sorts of colors and just knew that I would need them for my cards. Yeah, it's my first time using one! I used an older stamp set from CTMH that may be retired by now. It's called Autumn Splendor. First time using it too. I am such a hoarder! You'll recognize that Designer Series Paper as Fall Flowers from SU. I used one of my last two pieces of Really Rust cardstock for the card base.

My card also qualifies for two more challenges:

The Paper Players: add a fall element to your card
Stampin Sister's in Christ: use fall colors in your creation- crimson, orange, and gold or similar

Let's have one final look:

You will find plenty more inspiration by visiting my fellow Design Team Member's blogs...

Classy Cards N Such: Blessings, Count Yours

Hello Everyone.
I'm back with a fall card to share with you today that I made with fabulous products from the Classy Cards N Such online store.
I'm certain that many of you are already off to a great start on your fall cards. But for those of you that are looking for a quick elegant design, that is what I have to share.

I started off my card with a base of Stampin' Up!® cardstock. To that I added some of the WonderFALL designer paper by Webster's Pages. I chose this particular pattern because the sentiment "Blessings Count Yours" was built right into the pattern. I adhered a Sunflowers Silver outline sicker to a Lacy Oval die-cut piece of the Burgundy side of the Plum Iridescent Specialty Paper. I layered that onto a larger Lacy Oval die cut. For finishing touches I added some Webster's Pages Whimsies Mini Petals and two lines of the Fine Border Thick Thin stickers in Silver.

If you haven't tried the outlines stickers yet, you should. They come in really handy for making quick classy cards and you can stock up on them by taking 10% off using my discount code: JENNIPHER-10. Beverly has a great selection in her store to choose from. You can find links to all the products I used on the Classy Cards N Such Blog.

On a slightly different note, this was scheduled to be my last card for Classy Cards N Such but, I'm excited to say that Beverly has extended an offer to me to stay on awhile longer and I'm truly honored to except and well, like my card says...It's a blessing and I'm counting it! Looking forward to sharing more great products with you from Classy Cards N Such.

Mojo 207 & More

Hello Everyone! Today, I have another fall card to share with you.

My starting point for this card was the Mojo Monday Sketch 207:

Some people get a little intimidated by the tilted panels but, I kind of think they are fun!

My color scheme for this card was inspired by this week's CRE84FN challenge:

I used Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Suede CS from SU. The pattern papers I used from Echo Park's "Walk in the Park" collection just happened to blend nicely with the colors from SU.

Over at Paper Play Challenges the challenge was Autumn Leaves. So, I got out my leaf punch from EK Success Brands and punched three leaves using the Echo Park designer paper.

Hand Stamped Sentiments is challenging participants to Impress Them by using embossing. I thought my Pumpkin Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug would work out nicely with this card. I embossed Peach Parfait CS and then went over the raised areas with Peach Parfait Classic Ink.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ : Challenge:  Create a card that either says “Blessings” or uses an encouraging Scripture.

The "Harvest Blessings" sentiment from Verve worked out nicely for this fall-themed card which just happens to be the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.

Sentimental Sundays is challenging us to step out of our comfort zone by doing something that we do not normally do. Paper-piercing is something that I do not normally do and I even have a set of tools that I purchased awhile back that is supposed to make paper-piercing easier but have never given it a try. So, tonight I used these EK Success Cutter Bee Piercing Bugs on my card:

I think I could use a little more practice with these but, I did get out of my comfort zone by at least trying them.

All of that inspiration is what led me to this...

Thanks for stopping by!
