ODBD 7th Anniversay Scripture Challenge

Hello Friends! One of my two favorite stamp companies, Our Daily Bread Designs, is celebrating 7 years this month. In honor of their Anniversary they are having a Scripture Challenge. I thought this was more than appropriate and right up my alley because, their Scripture stamps is what made me fall in love with the company. Today is the last day to play along and I'm bringing up the rear as usual but, I have a good reason this time. I was waiting for my new Scripture stamps to arrive that I ordered from their Anniversary sale and they arrived today!

One of the new sets I ordered was Scripture Series 3. I wanted to use one of the Scriptures from that set on a card today because it has been a tough week. Two ladies from the company that I work for, lost their jobs this week because their positions were eliminated. These ladies had over 30 years of service in with the company and they were given no advance notice. My heart goes out to them and it reminded me that....
ODBD Scripture Series 3, Dreamy Leaves die from Verve

For inspiration for the overall design of my card I used an older Mojo Monday Sketch that I hadn't tried yet.
Mojo Monday 385
I would also like to share my card with the fine ladies over at Word Art Wednesday, who are all about spreading God's Word!

To Our Daily Bread Designs, Happy 7th Anniversary and Congratulations! May God continue to bless your company.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to be back later this weekend with more cards to share.

Tuesday's Testimonial 05

Happy Tuesday! It's time for Tuesday's Testimonial Linky Party where we share any kind of paper crafted project with any Scripture on it.You can link up something newly created or an older creation.

My project today was inspired by this sketch from the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining Light Challenge.

This week I wanted to share one of my favorite Scriptures about love found in 1 Corinthians 13.

In this passage the nature of love is stated so that we can know whether we have this grace. This love is a clear proof of renewal, and is a benchmark of our professed faith in Christ.  Love is an utter enemy to selfishness. It does not desire or seek its own praise or pleasure. This is not to say that love destroys all regard to ourselves or that a loving individual should neglect themselves and all of their interests. Instead, love never seeks its own to the hurt or neglect of others. How incredible would Christianity appear to the world, if those who profess it were more under this Divine principle!

I ask myself everyday if this Divine love dwells in my heart and I pray to God to help me lay aside my selfishness so that I may experience this incredible love and share it with others.

Thanks for stopping by today. I would love for you to share some part of God's Word with me. Along with your project you can share some encouraging words, a Testimony,  just your thoughts on the Scripture, or say nothing at all.

If you do link up, please take time to leave a comment and then visit one or two of the other links in the party and share in their blessings.

Tuesday's Testimonial 04

Hello Everyone! It's time for Tuesday's Testimonial Linky Party where we share any kind of paper-crafted project with any Scripture on it.

Along with your project you can share some encouraging words, a Testimony,  just your thoughts on the Scripture, or say nothing at all.

If you do link up, please take time to leave a comment and then visit one or two of the other links in the party and share in their blessings.

Sometimes when we pray we have to wait longer than we might want to for our answer from the Lord. The important thing is that we don't lose heart, remain of good cheer and faith and continue to wait. Because, He might not answer when you want Him to, but when He does, it will be right on time!

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless You!

Tuesday's Testimonial 03

Hello Everyone! It's time for Tuesday's Testimonial Linky Party where we share any kind of paper-crafted project with any Scripture on it.

Along with your project you can share some encouraging words, a Testimony, or just your thoughts on the Scripture.

If you do link up, please take time to leave a comment and then visit one or two of the other links in the party and share in their blessings.

I have another 6x6 page completed for my Sister-In-Law's album.

Many in our modern society today have the attitude that God is not needed as long as everything is running smoothly. So when income is good, family is safe, and health is stable, instead of acknowledging God and continuing to consult with Him on things they just go with the flow. However, in countless areas of our lives - marriage, family, careers, finances, etc. - we need a clear destination and navigation plan if we expect to be successful. God provides both!

So, in all your ways (every area of your life) acknowledge Him (pray about it, trust the Lord and not yourself and what you want) and He will make your paths straight (your life will be a success).

Scripture is the Word of God. We are what it says we are. We can do what it says we can do. We can have what it says we can have.
Looking forward to seeing what you have to share this week.

Tuesday's Testimonial 02

Hi Everyone! It's time for another Tuesday's Testimonial Linking Party.

Each Tuesday I will share a piece of art with Scripture on it and encourage you to do the same. It can be any time of paper-crafting item it just needs to have some Scripture on it. You can share some encouraging words about the particular Scripture you chose and how it has worked in your life or what it means to you.

If you do link up remember to pay a visit to one or two of the other links and share in their blessings as well.

Today I'm sharing a 6x6 Scripture page. These will go into an album that I'm working on as a gift for my Sister-In-Law.

It's important for us to remember that God's Grace is enough for whatever we are facing in our lives. Whether it is something that is a weakness for us or a temptation that we battle with. If we turn it over to Him we find that His strength will help us to persevere over those weaknesses, trials, and temptations we may be facing. God's Grace is enough to cover a multitude of sins, so it should only stand to reason that the same Grace will help us through our weaknesses.

God's Grace is Sufficent!
Scripture is the Word of God. We are what it says we are. We can do what it says we can do. We can have what it says we can have. You must have FAITH and believe that you are, you can do, and you can have just what it says.
Looking forward to seeing what you have to share this week.

Coming Soon...Tuesday's Testimonial Linking Party

Hi everyone. I'm here today to share with you about a new feature coming to Paper Expressions. For awhile now, I've had stirrings in my heart about doing something faith-based on my blog. Sure, I post cards with Scripture on them all the time but, I'm talking about really sharing your faith and or testimony about how this scripture has touched your life. So, I came up with the idea of Tuesday's Testimonial Linking Party.

So beginning next Tuesday we will have our first Linking Party. I'll start the party by sharing my piece of Scripture Art and how that Scripture has touched my life or share a testimony.

There are no rules other than you need to share some Scripture Art and it would be nice if we all took the time to visit one another. I think this could just turn into one big blessing if we went around and read everyone's testimony or devotion for that day.

You can link up any kind of art work you choose as long as there is a Scripture on it. It doesn't have to be newly made. It just has to come from your heart and from the Word of God.

I have some Sisters in Christ out there who already provide inspiration/challenges for this type of art work. If you play along in their challenges then you could just come on over here and link up your creation.

There will not be any prizes or top three's chosen. This is all to Glorify God and the Talents He has Blessed us With.

If you like this idea, please help me get the word out by posting the linking party badge to your sidebar as a picture and then include this link: http://www.jennipherlowery.com/search/label/Tuesdays%20Testimonial to get the badge to come back here when you click on it.

Be sure to leave me a comment to let me know that you posted the badge. I might just have some goodies I can send out to one random person for helping me share the good news.

Blessings,
