The winner of the challenge will get to be a Guest Diva in an upcoming release and they will receive all the stamps/dies for that release for free! They will also get to play along in the pre-release spotlight blog hops as well as the release party. You can beat that for a prize, now can you?
Since my name starts with a "J" my recipe was to use twine, buttons, and brads; the colors pink, turquoise and brown; 4 layer card or a circle card.
I do not own any twine so I exchanged that category out for the embellishments from the A-F category: flowers, ribbon, and eyelets.
Here is what I ended up with...
I started out by making a 6x6 Chocolate Chip CS card base. To that I added the Whisper White polka dot DSP from "Loves Me" by SU, with the edges distressed. The first layer I added to the base is a cut from my Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge using the striped DSP from "Loves Me". I mounted that on a Tempting Turquoise CS base using the same cut on the Cricut and the shadow feature. I punched holes in both sides of this layer and attached white eyelets. The second layer was made using the pink polka dot paper from "Loves Me" and the same cut on the Cricut using the border feature. I mounted that on to Pixie Pink CS. On top of that layer I attached the Chocolate Chip ruched ribbon. The third layer was cut using the oblong feature and the frame feature on the Cricut using the Tempting Turquoise Dot DSP and Whisper White CS. Onto the Whisper White I stamped the floral image from the Everlasting Life stamp set from Verve and colored it in with Copics. I then framed that layer with the frame cut I had made on the Cricut. My fourth and final layer was made using the oblong feature along with the Whisper White polka dot DSP and Whisper White CS. Onto the Whisper White CS I stamped the scripture Psalm 97:1 which is also from Everlasting Life. To finish off the card I added a Turquoise petal from imaginisce®. All the edges of the papers were inked using either Spun Sugar or Broken China Distress Inks.
This card also was inspired by our Bible Verse Thursday Challenge @ Christian Paper Crafts. Our word this week was "Treasure". The fact that the Lord reigns is a treasure to me so, I felt this scripture was only fitting for the challenge and it allowed me to use these stamps from Verve that I haven't gotten around to using yet.
Thanks to Verve Diva Amber for the fun challenge!
