As for my interpretation of the challenge, when I think of spring, Easter always comes to my mind. I think of the beautiful flowers beginning to bloom, my niece in her gorgeous Easter dress on Sunday morning, usually in some shade of pink, pastel green, or white with little embroidered flowers. Therefore it is only fitting that I make an Easter card for this challenge.
For this card I used a Verve Plain Jane stamp called "Happy Easter". Did you know that the Plain Jane Scripture stamps is what got me hooked on Verve? Well, it is. I love Scripture stamps but could not afford to spend a lot of money on them and I took a peak at the Verve site one day and discovered these great scriptures and other Plain Janes for only $3 and sometimes they are on sale for $2.40. I tell you, it can't be beat. Okay, I'm rambling...
My Tulip is a digi-stamp from Sweet n Sassy Stamps that has been colored with my tiny but growing collection of Copic markers, cut out from the cardstock and adhered with pop-dots so that it would stand out.
Well, I hope you like my version of Color Me Spring!
Supplies:
- patterned paper and cardstock - SU
- Happy Easter - Verve Plain Jane
- Tulip - Sweet n Sassy digi stamp
- Copic markers
- Martha Stewart Crafts border punch
