Today's project really feels like I cheated in some way because I created my entire card front in Photoshop Elements and then printed in out, added some ribbon and glued it to my card base. But, I guess it's just another example of what you can do with digital stamps and papers. I wasn't feeling well enough to sit down at my craft desk and cut, layer, color, etc so, I did it all on my laptop.
I knew I wanted to use the Fun and Flirty digital paper pack and I started with the Peach Polka Dot digital paper. Then I added a layer of the White Stripe digital paper. I added a drop shadow to this layer so that it would look more like layered paper. I decided I wanted to work with the Robin Sitting on Branch digital stamp from the Birds and Bees digital stamp set and I colored the image using the tools in PSE. I picked a sentiment from the Birds and Bees Sentiment set and layered it onto the scene I had already put together. Once I had everything the way I wanted it, I merged all the visible layers together and proceeded to print.
I trimmed the card front out and inked the edges with Calypso Coral ink. It seemed like it would be to CAS for me so, I added a Soft Sky ribbon and bow and then adhered it to a base of Calypso Coral cardstock.
Supplies: from Daydream Designs: Fun and Flirty digital paper pack, Birds and Bees digital stamp set, Birds and Bees digital sentiments; Photoshop Elements; Calypso Coral CS; Soft Sky Double Stitched ribbon.
This is a great way to mass produce cards when you don't have a lot of time. I am beginning to understand the attraction to digital more and more everyday.
